Positions Available

  • Manage retail store location, ensure smooth flow of operation and provide excellent customer service to achieve company financial goals. When applicable provide direct client services through innovation and compliance with required standards for all activities of assigned department and to promote improve and support the agency as a whole.

    Perform retail sales functions, select and price donated goods and textiles to be sold in our retail stores according to the Standard Operating Procedures manual. Provide direct client services through innovation and compliance with required standards for all activities of assigned department. Promote, improve, and support Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont as a whole.

  • Immediate position available for a full-time & a part-time truck driver for routes between our warehouse in Pittsfield, MA and Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont store locations, providing store deliveries and pick-ups, and accurate truck records.

  • Assistant Store Manager in Great Barrington, MA
    Under the direction of the Director of Retail Operations, ensure smooth flow of operation and provide excellent customer service to achieve company financial goals. When applicable provide direct client services through innovation and compliance with required standards for all activities of assigned department and to promote improve and support the agency as a whole.

  • Will sort donated goods including textiles, shoes, books, and wares according to OSHA, VOSHA and CDC guidelines and Goodwill's Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure safety and adhere to compliance. Promote improvement and support of the agency as a whole.

  • The Assistant Director of Mission Services under the direction of the Director of Mission Services will work with the Mission Services assist in providing services to community members who inquire about or enlist the services of Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont in working to overcome barriers to living an independent life with dignity and the ability to support themselves and their families. In this role the Assistant Director will manage, direct and facilitate Mission Services Programs, including but not limited to the oversite of data and statistics, voucher processing and fulfillment, assist with the team in the creation of new and revision of current employment training programs.

  • The Program Coach will work with the Mission Services team to assist in providing services to community members who inquire about or enlist the services of Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont, Inc. in working to overcome barriers to living an independent life with dignity and the ability to support themselves and their families. In this role the employee will learn all aspects of Mission Services with a focus on coaching and monitoring the activities of our supported employment individuals in the workplace.

  • POSITION CONCEPT
    Perform a variety of duties in the processing center including baling, loading and unloading trucks, using the pallet jack to move Gaylord’s around, assisting at donation door following appropriate sorting procedures.

    CORE REQUIREMENTS
    Commit to preserving a safe work environment by performing job duties and keeping work area clean and void of hazards.
    Actively participate in safety training.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
    Operate baler to prepare bales for shipment.
    Wire bales of cardboard, textile and miscellaneous for shipping.
    Operate hydraulic jack lift or truck to move bales after wiring.
    Comply with all Agency policies, procedures and safety standards throughout work areas and maintain same to meet CARF, DOL and other regulatory standards.
    Ensure that Goodwill quality control standards are met (textiles, misc., and furniture).
    Pull merchandise on and off truck.
    Learn and assume duties for Dell Reconnect

    BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
    Capable of operating bailing machine.
    Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
    Demonstrate competencies in basic math, communication and following directions.
    Able to work in a group setting.

  • Summary Description:
    • Direct the activities of the retail store to ensure maximum revenues, effectiveness and profitability.
    • Oversee the store operations in the absence of a Manager or Assistant Manager
    • Ensure smooth flow of operation and provide excellent customer service to achieve company financial goals. Previous experience in clothing or home goods is a must.
    • When applicable provide direct client services through innovation and compliance with required standards for all activities of assigned department and to promote improve and support the agency as a whole.
    • Ensure that cash management and register operations are performed according the Goodwill standard operating procedures.
    Qualifications:
    • High School Diploma or general education degree with courses in Business or Marketing
    • Minimum of three years of retail experience in a clothing/ home goods management w/ supervisory experience.
    • Excellent leadership and management skills, strong written and oral communication
    • Basic computer literacy—e-mail, internet, word processing
    • Prior supervisory experience

    Full time 40 hours
